For 35 years, Discovery Cube Orange County has made science education fun, memorable and impactful in Los Angeles. Magic Memories partners with Discovery Cube to an create an entry space experience to maximise engagement on arrival and sell a photobook souvenir for guests to take home and discover more post-visit.
An outer space themed green-screen studio complete with satellite-styled camera equipment took small groups of guests to another realm, whilst members and school-groups had their own personalised experience to keep the flow constant and fun.
Our custom-designed book and complementary ‘Smile Factory’ retail space connected with the museums values, mission and exhibits to encourage curious minds to explore more with activity-based learning.
Balancing stakeholder needs, strict building codes, curatorial objectives, and a busy event-calendar, our design and program delivered a plug-in solution that maximised opportunity and minimised disruption.
